`Aisha Academy Inauguration Ceremony

Under the guidance of Hadrat Khalīfatul-Masih Vaa Jamā`at Ahmadīyya, Canada has been blessed with the opportunity to open “`Aisha Academy,”
for the sacred purpose of providing religious knowledge and training to Ahmadī girls (Alhamdulillāh). 12 Students have been admitted and classes started on September 20, 2011. After the completion of three years program the students will be awarded a Mubashira Degree which will be equivalent to a bachelor’s Degree in Humanities.
The `Aisha Academy inauguration ceremony was held on Saturday October 22, 2011 at Baitul Islām Mosque, Toronto, Canada. The event was organized and presented by the staff and students of `Aisha Academy. The students began the event with the beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’ān, followed by its translation in Urdu and English. Then a poem was recited from Dur-e-Samīn by three students, followed by its translation.
Afterwards Dr. Ijaz A. Rauf sāhib, National Secretary Ta`līm introduced the concept of `Aisha Academy as a great academic institutions for women.
The Principal of `Aisha Academy, Mrs. Sheila Malik sāhiba described the need and purpose to establish `Aisha Academy for dedicated Ahmadī women in the west.
All the 12 students recited a heart moving “tarana” in Urdu written by Amatul Bari Nasir sāhiba which was afterwards translated in English.
Missionary In-charge Mubarak Nazir sāhib expressed his heart felt views and appreciation.
Respected Amīr sāhib Canada Malik Lal Khan sāhib concluded the session with encouraging remarks of advice and appreciation and led the silent prayer.
In the end of the ceremony, all the guests were served with a commemorative box of sweets and tea. At this time, the men were shown a brief slide show of the tour of `Aisha Academy’s curriculum and building, while the ladies enjoyed a detailed and entertaining video about `Aisha Academy which was produced entirely by the students of `Aisha Academy.
The staff and students of `Aisha Academy were then engulfed in emotional embraces of congratulations from all the delighted guests.
Some of the staff, guests and students proceeded to Bait-e-Nusrat for a guided tour and an opportunity to sign the `Aisha Academy guest book.
